Exotic, eco-friendly, and zen are adjectives that describe our iconic plant very well, bamboo. Indeed, bamboo wood is making its way into Western homes, and into every room in the house. We won't go into detail about the eco-friendly side of bamboo in this article. However, I invite you to check out our blog: The Eco Mag where we have already covered this thorny issue in some of our articles such as: The benefits of bamboo.
Bamboo wood products, accessories, and utensils are increasingly popular for several reasons.
- They are biodegradable and compostable
- They add an exotic touch
- they require no treatment
Why bamboo?

An environmental amendment regarding the fight against plastic waste and single-use disposable products such as straws, cutlery, disposable cups, etc. will push consumers to rethink their consumption habits.
Bamboo is therefore a material of choice for replacing plastic products. Bamboo can be found in many areas such as: in the manufacture of objects, accessories, utensils, and products for the home, but also in medicine, cooking, and cosmetics and also, unfortunately, in textiles. You read that right, unfortunately, because bamboo fiber used in textiles is a real greenwashing scam benefiting unscrupulous resellers who take advantage of the naivety of uninformed consumers. Feel free to read our article above on the topic of textiles supposedly made from natural, eco-friendly bamboo.

However, straws are the most sought-after by the French, and that's not a bad thing - quite the opposite. Plastic straws are a real plague for the environment, choosing a bamboo, stainless steel, or cornstarch straw is a very good habit. Feel free to read our article: which reusable straws should you choose? which will teach you more about alternatives to plastic straws.
Bamboo products for your bathroom

A bathroom that is both modern and wood-accented gives an undeniably authentic and natural feel every time. Indeed, bamboo wood bathroom accessories and utensils are plentiful in our dedicated collection. However, we would like to remind you that textiles made from bamboo fiber, cellulose, and viscose are not eco-friendly. As mentioned at the beginning of the article, feel free to check out our blog on this subject. Wipes, towels, cotton swabs, and makeup remover pads made from bamboo fiber are often manufactured through several processes based on highly polluting chemicals, just like socks, underwear, and T-shirts. For these reasons, you will not find bamboo textiles in our store.
A certified bio-based and eco-friendly textile may carry 2 labels on its tag: Global Organic and Confidence in Textiles. (Oeko-Tex)
Bamboo products for your office

A beautiful solid bamboo desk could give you the look of an eco-conscious office worker 😅. The drawback would be the work surface, as the rounded curves of bamboo would not be suitable for a functional desk.
However, small accessories such as pens, desk lamps, and even keyboards and mice can be made from bamboo. Discover our list of bamboo office products in our collection. Still for educational purposes, "eco-friendly office equipment" is one of our articles on this topic. You will discover how the combination of technology and ecology works wonderfully with bamboo products, as well as all the cleaner alternatives linked to the development of green growth even in the world of office work.

Which fashion accessories should you choose? This question will no longer come up once you discover all our products in our bamboo wood fashion accessories collection. Indeed, watches, sunglasses, bow ties, and handbags are in the spotlight, especially when the warmer days arrive.
Don't wait any longer to stand out with an eco-friendly style!
Bamboo products YES, but where do they come from?
Now that's an interesting question that many of you must be asking. Bamboo grows naturally in regions of Southeast Asia (Bali, China, Vietnam) and in Africa. In France, a variety of bamboo (Phyllostachys edulis) is cultivated by an Italian company that supplies the edible bamboo market. However, the bamboo used to manufacture our products and accessories is imported, which tarnishes the eco-friendly image we wish to convey. Nevertheless, we are proud to be affiliated with a reforestation organization called One Tree Planted. We offer our customers the option to donate 1 $ (0.82 €) before finalizing their purchase in order to support this organization. Planting a tree largely offsets the CO2 emissions due to the transport of our bamboo products from their country of origin to our customers' homes.
