The bamboo in Japanese gardens

Jardin japonais zen

The Japanese gardens, a haven of greenery and serenity where time seems to have stood still. This type of garden is defined by the symmetry shaped by the human hand while allowing nature to grow in its perfect irregularity. Maintaining a Japanese garden is an art guided by both discipline and philosophy.
In Buddhist philosophy, the garden is considered a sanctuary that highlights nature to Promote meditation and well-being.
The selection of plants is more or less typical (maples, camellias, mosses and bamboo), pruned in an approximate way, called "size in clouds".
The decorative elements and materials used are chosen at the gardener’s discretion and according to the space available. A Japanese garden is often embellished with a stone or wooden bridge, Japanese stepping stones made from teak duckboards or natural stone, a water feature such as a basin adorned with a fountain, most often bamboo, Asian-style lanterns, and decorative items such as Buddha statues and other accessories that you can find in our shop.
